The information below may help you decide whether to audition for one—or both—groups: some people do sing in both!
The Broad Cove Chorale is a women's chorus; The Unicorn Singers is a mixed chorus. Both groups are chamber choirs of approximately 20 members each; they perform together in 3 major concerts each year.
Musical and attendance expectations are the same for singers in both groups; differences between the groups relate to their rehearsal schedules and the programs/places they perform.
To audition for one or both of the groups, email Music Director Margo Euler at email@example.com to set up an audition time.

The Broad Cove Chorale rehearses on Wednesday mornings. The Unicorn Singers rehearse on Monday evenings. Rehearsals for both groups are held at the Lutheran House of Prayer, 916 Main Street, Hingham, MA. There is at least one evening dress rehearsal prior to each major concert.
The rehearsal season begins in early September and extends through late May with a break from Mid-December to Mid-January; occasionally, the Music Director adds or subtracts dates from the groups' anticipated rehearsal schedules.
Regular attendance at rehearsals is a requirement for participation. All anticipated and unanticipated absences should be communicated to the Music Director as soon as possible.
Sight reading ability is highly desirable. Singers are expected to work on their music between rehearsals; specific assignments are sometimes given.
The Broad Cove Chorale and the Unicorn Singers join forces for three major concerts over the course of the musical year. Each of these major concerts is generally performed 2-3 times. Concerts often include solo and one-on-a-part ensemble singing, offering experienced voices added challenge and musical opportunity; no outside soloists are engaged.
In addition to these three major concerts, the Broad Cove Chorale occasionally performs shorter "trouping" programs at area senior centers and nursing homes. Individuals and small ensembles from The Unicorn Singers perform a fourth program—all Broadway, in February—for a designated charity.
